Unwind;
put aside all cares, loose yourself in the Cayman Islands.
Plunge into world-class dive sites; sunbathe on sandy beaches
and amble through lush nature preserves. Marvel at historic
sights, explore caves once laden with pirate treasure, and
immerse yourself in life's easygoing rhythms.
Once you've arrived onto this beautiful island, expect a warm
welcome from the Caymanians, who enjoy one of the highest
standards of living in the Caribbean. Friendly and easy-going,
they are eager to share their peaceful, secure homeland with
you. |

Fringed by some of the Caribbean's most beautiful beaches, Grand
Cayman - largest of the Cayman Islands - offers sunbathing and
seashell collecting on famed Seven Mile Beach, Collier's Point
on the East End, and Old Man Bay and Cayman Kai on the North
Coast. For the ultimate escape, take the 40-minute ferry from
the Hyatt Regency to Rum Point, on the North Coast, where you
can snorkel in aquamarine waters, nap in hammocks hung from
casuarina pines and enjoy a laid-back drink at The Wreck Bar. |

With
approximately 200 dive sites, crystal-clear visibility and a
tradition of undersea exploration that goes back to 1957 when
the Caribbean's first dive operation opened in the Cayman
Islands, you can dive in a relaxed and safe atmosphere. At
Stingray City, described as "the world's best 12-foot dive
site," you can pet friendly stingrays while diving or while
snorkeling in four feet at the Sandbar. Want to stay dry?
Explore Stingray Cave in a glass-bottom boat. Or from George
Town Harbor, cruise just below the ocean's surface on the
Nautilus semisubmersible, or plunge 100 feet into the watery
depths in an Atlantis submarine. |

|
| What
could be more relaxing than windsurfing the calm waters off
Seven Mile Beach? The East End and North sound might be more
challenging, but they're guaranteed to help get the kinks out of
your workaday life. Sailing charters can be arranged, too. Or
take a cruise on one of several seagoing vessels. |

Relax
and commune with nature in the Cayman Islands, where gardens and
forests abound with orchids, bromeliads and other colorful plant
life. There are also exotic animals and birds like the
indigenous Cayman Brac Parrot, the Grand Cayman Blue Iguana and
the green sea turtles that made Christopher Columbus name these
islands Las Tortugas when he came here in 1503. The best-known
natural attraction is the Cayman Turtle Farm, where 20,000
turtles, ranging from hatchlings to 600-pound adults, can be
seen. The gardens of the Botanic Park are a site to behold. Just
outside George Town is Cardinal D's Park with over 60 species of
birds, including West Indian whistling ducks and Cayman parrots
- not to mention blue iguanas and miniature ponies. |

|
| Shopping
was never easier - or more enticing - than in the Cayman
Islands. George Town abounds with duty-free shops offering
cameras, perfumes, watches and fine jewelry, as well as linen,
china and British woolens. At Kirk Freeport Plaza, visit the
Waterford/Wedgewood Shop, Treasure Cove, Coral Cove and Gucci.
Around the corner, the Kirk Gallery stocks Baccarat crystal,
Royal Doulton china and Hummel figurines, while Kirk Leather
purveys the finest cuts by Cartier, Fendi and Yves St. Laurent.
There's more shopping at The English Shoppe and Anchorage Centre
Island Companies shops, including the Coach Factory, Churchill's
Cigar, Diamond Direct, Hot Tropics and London Jewelers Factory
Store. |
|
 |
| You'll
find local works of fine art at Island Art, Kennedy Gallery and
Pure Arts galleries, wearable art at Tango Blu, and lively
cassette and CD recordings at Caribbean Rhythms. |

Visit the
Cayman Islands. A place with endless fun, beautiful beaches,
fabulous watersports, and luxury resorts. You won't be
disappointed.
